All amounts are CAD. When no personal CPP amount is entered, CPP is a simplified estimate using the current annual income as salary at your current age, decreasing the modeled salary by the selected rate for each earlier year and increasing it by that rate through retirement. It estimates the 40 strongest contribution years, caps annual pensionable earnings at the 2026 upper limit of $85,000, then applies the selected retirement-age adjustment. Official CPP uses your indexed contribution record and detailed dropout rules; use your personal Service Canada estimate when available. OAS uses the October–December 2026 maximum at ages 65–74, adjusted for years lived in Canada after age 18 and an estimated recovery tax. The recovery estimate uses current annual income as a rough proxy for net income during retirement; actual OAS is based on net world income while receiving it. Benefits are assumed to begin at retirement and rise with inflation. Projections assume constant returns and end-of-period contributions; they exclude taxes, fees, and changes in contributions. Retirement income from savings is modeled as level, inflation-adjusted monthly withdrawals at month-end using the estimated return after inflation.
